The Walking Dead Season 11. Farewell to screens at the end of the season!
The original series The Walking Dead ends, but Daryl and Carol's adventure will continue.
AMC announced the end of The Walking Dead and gave the gospel for a new spin-off project. The upcoming 11th season of the iconic zombie series will be the show's final season, according to a statement Wednesday. This last will be a little longer than the previous seasons and will consist of 24 episodes. The other 12 episodes of the final season of The Walking Dead, which will air in the top 12 in 2021, will air in 2022.
In explaining the end date news, AMC also announced that it had ordered two new series, one of which is a joint story of Carol, played by Norman Reedus, played by Daryl and Melissa McBride (to premiere in 2023). These two new shows bring the number of spin-offs uncovered to four 'Fear the Walking Dead' and the soon-to-be-released 'The Walking Dead: World Beyond'. AMC also has a Rick-based feature film starring Andrew Lincoln.
Before The Walking Dead begins its 11th and final season, the postponed season 10 finale will air on October 4, followed by six bonus episodes in early 2021. Scott Gimple, the show's concession holder, said in a statement: "Goodbye. It's been 10 years! There are two more series ahead and stories to tell beyond that. What's clear is that this show is about fans and life in the world, made by a passionate cast, writers, producers, and crew, who bring to life the vision that Robert Kirkman put forward in his amazing comic book and is supported by the best.

We have a lot of exciting stories to tell in the series, and this latest will open up space for new stories and characters that will be the beginning of more Walking Dead brands. The final season will be a grand finale that will lead to new premieres. Evolution is upon us. The Walking Dead is alive."
Angela Kang, the show's producer, also made a statement, and said:
'I look forward to meeting with our brilliant writers, producers, directors, cast and team to bring this epic final chapter of Robert Kirkman's story to life for our fans over the next two years. The Walking Dead flagship series has been my creative home for ten years and so it's a bitters sweet experience to end it. I couldn't be more excited to be working with Scott Gimple and AMC to develop a new series for Daryl and Carol. Working with Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride has been one of the highlights of my career and I am very excited that we will continue to tell stories together.
